getting old!

Well im 49 today but feel 90 lol.
Hubby is off for the day and cooking a brunch for us later, im just chilling out and designing some new teddy bear patterns, nice to get back into making bears, but this time they are cloth ones. The first one is entered into the show at Bovington this week, will take a piccy when i get the chance, also entered a bag i made called 'black, white and red all over' :)
Had kisses from all the dogs but hubby forgot lol.

On AB's and the fever is getting better!
Im going to sit and do some hexi's and ordered some fabrics.

no sewing today :(

Been up all night with an infection in my leg and feel pretty ill!
Waiting for the doctors to open so i can have a word and get some AB's no way can i sew today :(

Happy 4th July

Finished swap items

Ment to go to my class tonight, hubby had the car, waited for him to get home, and waited and rang but no luck :( 8.30 he got home, the car had blown the head gasket and he had to wait for the AA to bring him home, result i missed my class, and had to go out and buy another car!
Fed up as i have not been out of the house in a week and my knee is not playing ball either..ho hum will have to do some hand stitching tomorrow.
Its humid and sticky here and the air con unit is on full so is the fan and all the doors are open.
Ok had my whinge for the week lol.

Finished the Tulip quilt topper just need to get it quilted now.
Pushing on with my hexi garden and loving it.
Tried a wonky star and enjoyed it and made a start on my new bag so busy all round :)

Productive day but tinged with sadness

I have now got my head around the shoo fly blocks on the vignette quilt and have done 2 sets of 7 at last !!!
Also made a start on the stitching for block one as i decided to do it all in one piece, should have it done this weekend yayyyyyyyy!!
Sad day as my beautiful sister died 7 years ago today after her brave fight with cancer :( Miss you Pat xxxx

Life gets in the way

Ment to be at class tonight but hubby came home looking very ill, so didn't like to leave him.
Then found out he has been cutting one of his drugs out, the water pill !!!!!!!!! i could swing for him sometimes.
 Feel cheated  i missed my night out :(
 Had trouble wth my iron on transfer pencil, bought 2 and both where broken up inside, ended up using carbon paper, pushing on with my vignette now.

Very sad day, had to have Shooie our 14 year old staffy cross put to sleep as he had become aggresive, Very  sad, gutted R.I.P little man you touched many hearts.

A few finished items

Well 2 12" blocks are done, and a 6" block and a mug rug all for swaps :)

Finished the block for the Christmas block and the 12" one is done and made a start on my mug rug, phew its all go here :)

Its a long way round an elephant !

Well i have started hand quilting the cot quilt in the 'Jolly jungel' fabric and the giraffe is done but ts a long way round the elephant lol!
Just been sent my Christmas block swap partner and looking forward to making a start on the block soon.
Finished a needle case but think its a bit big.
Sat in beautiful sunshine which is lovely afte an awful winter :)

3 corners workshop feb 2011

Had a great day at the workshop run by Jean !! learnt some new skills and met some very nice people.
Bought more fabric (like you do lol).
A few of the girls from Monday evening where there Val, Andrea and Carol so it was easier and made me less nervouse :)
Now have some great iseas running around my head for projects to do.

Baby quilt dilema !!!

Not sure which way im going with the quilting on the cot quilt ???
Topper is made and Jean has said to have a go at quilting it myself and not send it off for long arm work.
Just hope i don't mess it up!!!
Lookng foward to the 3 corner day on Saturday, lobe to learn something new :)

Finished!!

Finished the cushion cover at long last and the wall hanging is nearly done :)
Off to have a morning of heaven tomorrow at Hansons yeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa!

great day

Had a great day on a 'know your machine' day at Jeans, tried things i would never have tried on my own.
Feel more confident to finish my first applique project off now :)
